Mission Statement
THE
PRIMARY MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT IS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SERVICES
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF ZAPATA AND TO RESPOND TO OTHER INCIDENTS AS REQUIRED.
PROTECTION OF LIFE WITHIN ZAPATA COUNTY, AND ESTABLISH A PUBLIC SAFETY EDUCATION
PROGRAM FOR THE CHILDREN AND ELDERLY RESIDENTS OF ZAPATA COUNTY.
WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER COUNTY DEPARTMENTS TO PROVIDE A BETTER PLACE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF ZAPATA COUNTY

"I would like to welcome everyone to the Zapata County Fire Department Website.
From the earliest 1950's volunteers to the present fire
department team members including: Emergency Care Attendants/Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technicians/Firefighter, Emergency Medical
Tech-Intermediate/Firefighters, Paramedics, and
Firefighter/Paramedics including Arson investigators/peace officers, fire inspectors, swift water rescue teams, HAZ-MAT awareness teams,
divers, and etc. As of 2012 we have included MICU capabilities in our ambulances. We have grown to be one of the best and will
continue to grow for the better settlements of Zapata County. Thank you for
