Zapata County Fire Department shows teenagers the dangers of being in a vehicle with no seat belts.
On Feb. 25, 2013, Zapata Co. Fire Department went to visit with Zapata Middle School Students to educate them on the importance of wearing seatbelts and other hazardous events while in a vehicle. Rollover Simulator was donated by Coastal Bend Regional Advisory Council. Students were excited and amazed at what actually happens during a rollover. Below are pictures of the event. Zapata County Fire Department would like to thank Zapata Middle School for giving us the opportunity to educate their students on injury prevention. ZCFD would also like to thank CBRAC on donating the simulator for this event.
Zapata High School Students are shaken up when they see what can happen during a rollover.
On Feb. 28, 2013, Zapata County Fire Department Employees went to visit with Zapata High School Students on the importance of wearing seatbelts and the results of being involved in a rollover with or without seatbelts. Students were educated on what kind of injuries you can sustain while being involved in a motor vehicle accident. The levels of impact and the top 3 reasons why people are involved in a motor vehicle accident. Thanks to Coastal Bend RAC for donating their Rollover Simulator and to Zapata High School for giving us the opportunity to spread the awareness of wearing a seatbelt in our community.
